Baby Gibson

I am excited about a new project I am working on. Below is a board I put together for a client. Her favorite color is aqua and she wants to use that for her sweet baby girl. So we chose a BEAUTIFUL wallpaper to add to one wall of the room. I can't wait to show you the final product. Enjoy!

the chairs...

So it all started one day about two and half years ago when I was visiting Seaside, Florida and walked by a local interior shop. There sat two of these bad boys:

Needless to say I was in love from that moment but the price on the other hand was something WAY outside of my budget. I searched for a long time trying to find something that looked closed but nothing could beat these chairs. I had them pictured in my mind with a tiny table in between them in our den at our house in Birmingham. So this summer I came up an idea. Since we were moving I would sell the furniture we didn't need and buy these chairs. So that is exactly what I did.

I love the take on a traditional wing back chair but a little more current day, and the skirt is so graceful. I love that it barely skims the floor.

There is not enough room in our apartment for them to be side by side with a cute table in between. Hopefully at our next house though. Or who knows maybe they will be in dining room as the Host and Hostess seats.

It is the perfect chair to curl up in with a cup of hot chocolate and a book, or for Andrew it is the perfect chair to turn around and prop his legs up while he watches TV.

These chairs are from If you have not heard of them you should look at their website. They have beautiful furniture.

Our Apartment

Several people have asked to see pictures of our apartment here in Austin and I finally took the time to get out my camera and snap a few pictures. Hope you enjoy our humble adobe.

The doors are not the best so I went out and found BIG wreaths for them!

I am so proud of these little succulents. I have had them for three weeks now and they are still alive! Whoo!

Thanksgiving Tables

Growing up my momma always came up with a gorgeous table for Thanksgiving. There would be pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, tons of candles, some type of bittersweet or vine, and of course the best part, lots of food. She passed the love of creating holiday tables on to me. The last couple of years I have loved creating a one of a kind table for Thanksgiving. Last year Andrew came home to branches laying in the driveway and all over the kitchen as I tried to create a branch chandelier over our table. It did not turn out quite what I had in mind but it was still fun trying.

I can't wait to see what my momma comes up with this year for Thanksgiving. I make sure to share it with you.

Our sweet sweet friends threw us a going away party on Thursday night. I am so thankful for our wonderful family and friends who are supporting us with our journey. The party was precious. Everything was planned perfect and we had a blast!
